Candy on your nails

Are you a fan of nail arts like me? You might have already heard of the latest trend in nail fashion, “Sugar Coat Nail Polish” by Sally Hansen.

SALLY HANSEN SUGAR COAT NAIL POLISH

I wanted to try this nail polish but unfortunately I can’t find it here in the Philippines, so I’ve come to a decision of  why not give it a try for a diy sugar coat nail polish using real sugar.

Things needed:

1. Sugar

2. Nail polish of your choice

Chic- GYPSETTER

Chic- MI-CHA

Chic- JI-HYE

Chic- BACKSTAGE

Caronia- ITALIAN NUDE

*for this diy, a colorless nail polish is a mandatory

Caronia- COLORLESS

Steps:

1. Apply a thin coat of colorless nail polish.

2. Next is to apply the color of the nail polish that you prefer. In my case, i tried five variety of colors so that my nails would look more candy-like.

3. Prepare your white sugar and drizzle it on top of each of your nails. Make sure to remove the excess sugar on the sides using your finger.

4. Apply a layer of colorless nail polish on top of the sugar to make sure that it will keep into place and to prevent it from falling off.

I love how it ended up looking like Sally Hansen’s sugar coat polish. My nails look like real candies, plus it also gave that 3D effect which make it more pleasing in the eyes.

MY CANDY NAILS
Don’t worry guys, ants wont eat my nails. They may love sugar but I’m pretty sure they hate the taste and smell of the top coating (colorless polish) that I used.

Will you give it a try?
